Indicative Trade Rates
These rates are provided as a guide for travel agents, DMCs and tour operators booking private touring with Dream Drives. Final pricing depends on itinerary detail, dates, vehicle selection and availability.
All rates shown are per vehicle, per day for up to 10 hours of disposal, excluding GST unless otherwise noted. Please contact us for confirmed quotes.
How We Price
- Day rate per vehicle (up to 10 hours from first pickup to final drop-off).
- Overtime charged per hour beyond 10 hours, by prior agreement.
- Relocation fees for one-way itineraries (e.g. ending in Queenstown).
- Net or commissionable structures available – tell us your preference.
We’re happy to work in net-only or commissionable models depending on your internal policies.

Rates above are indicative only and may vary for peak dates, special events or highly bespoke programmes. We’ll always confirm exact pricing when you send through your itinerary.
Overtime, Relocations & Waiting Time
Most programmes fit comfortably within a 10-hour day. When they don’t, we’ll flag this during quoting and agree how best to handle it.
Overtime (Beyond 10 Hours)
- Charged per hour or part thereof beyond 10 hours.
- Indicative overtime: from NZD $120 + GST per hour.
- We’ll highlight likely overtime in advance based on your itinerary.
Relocation & One-Way Fees
- Applied when the vehicle starts and ends in different locations.
- For example, Christchurch → Queenstown one-way itineraries.
- Charged case-by-case depending on distance and timing.
Waiting Time
- Short standard waits (hotel check-in, quick stops, etc.) are included.
- Extended waiting (e.g. multi-hour meetings) may be charged as disposal time or overtime.
Inclusions & Exclusions
Clear expectations for you and your clients. We’re happy for you to copy this into your own documentation.
Included in Day Rates
- Professional driver.
- Use of the specified vehicle for up to 10 hours per day.
- Standard fuel and road costs for planned routing.
- Standard hotel/airport pickups and drop-offs within each city.
- Basic itinerary sanity-checking and timing guidance.
Not Included
- Client accommodation, meals or activity costs.
- Entry fees, attraction tickets or third-party tours.
- Gratuities (at the client’s discretion).
- Ferries, internal flights or other long-distance transport.
If you would like us to pre-book activities or attractions as part of your DMC offering, please discuss this with us – in most cases we act as ground transport only, and you retain control of arrangements and mark-up.
Net vs Commissionable & Booking Terms
We work flexibly with different partners – from small boutique agencies through to larger DMCs.
Net / Commissionable Options
- Net Rates: We provide net pricing and you add your own margin.
- Commissionable: We can sometimes build commission into gross rates for you.
- For series or repeat programmes, we’re happy to agree a standard approach.
Booking & Payment
- Deposits and final payment terms confirmed at time of booking.
- We can work via you (the agent/DMC) or directly with your payment office.
- We do not market directly to your clients; we treat your brand as the primary relationship.
Cancellations
- Specific cancellation terms will be shown on each quote or confirmation.
- Peak season or special events may carry stricter conditions.
